Who We Are

Our organization was formed in October of 2013 and is made up of men and women fire buffs, collectors, active and retired firefighters, EMS personnel, and 911 dispatchers.

On January 1, 2015 we were incorporated by the Pennsylvania Department of State as a non-profit charitable corporation and are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) (3) organization. We hold our annual meeting in January and meet quarterly throughout of the year.

We operate a Facebook page called “Old Fire Farts of York County PA” and this is our means of sharing information and communication among our members and associates. We use this site to promote our meetings, special events, and fundraising opportunities.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Old Fire Farts of York County PA is to preserve the history of the fire service for future generations by means of preservation and education. We also provide financial support for current emergency responders by awarding annual scholarships towards their educational advancement.

Our Goal is the preservation of fire service history by preserving historical fire information, collecting equipment and memorabilia, and to help support and maintain local fire museums. The Old Fire Farts of York County, PA have launched a scholarship program to support York County first responders working towards a better educational opportunity to better the emergency service field in which they work or volunteer, to ensure better leadership, a safer work environment, and to have quality trained personnel for those serving in York County.

Our Support

Our Financial Support comes from our corporate sponsors, advertisers, foundation grants, and membership dues and donations.

Special events are held during the year to educate our youth and the general public about our fire service history. We sponsor the Old Fire Farts York Fire Muster in the Fall and funds raised from this event go towards our mission agenda.
